Yann Perreau, from Quebec and Mehdi Cayenne, from Ontario, are two genuine stage performers well-known for their fun and creative vibes.
Yann Perreau writes surprising, creative and trippy lyrics. Infused with an electro-pop atmosphere, his fifth album “Le fantastique des astres” features the hit-song “J’aime les oiseaux” and is meant as a celebration of life and its simple pleasures. His songs are an invitation to travel; they possess an absurd and joyful quality and include critical viewpoints on our society.
“Yann Perreau makes a strong comeback (…) It’s fantastic to be able to revisit the many different facets of this talented musician and brilliant lyricist.”
Le Journal Métro, Avril 2016
In Mehdi Cayenne’s songs, we find a poetic and dreamlike musical universe; mixing funk, folk and pop. At the heart of his album “Aube” (2015), lies an impossible love story between Mehdi and Rivière that represents “The spirit of Love”. His album is both gentle and vibrant without ever being too candid. In January 2017, Mehdi Hamdad and his band Mehdi Cayenne received 11 nominations at the Trille d’Or Gala.
The two artists share a passion for live performances, they also both like to interact with their audience between songs.
Let’s celebrate the Francophonie week with the imaginary of the Quebecois Yann Perreau and the passion of the Franco-Ontarian Mehdi Cayenne.
